About us

We’re building a safer way
to own land in India

The Land Bankers is a technology driven land intelligence and property research platform built to simplify land related decisions across India. We help individuals, investors, developers, banks, and legal professionals understand land data clearly before taking any action.

Land information in India is often fragmented across multiple departments, formats, and portals. Our goal is to bring this information together in a structured, reliable, and easy to understand manner so that people can make confident decisions.

What We Do

At The Land Bankers, we provide verified land related information by combining government records, on ground data, and digital tools. Our platform helps users access critical details such as land records, zoning information, Sub Registrar Office details, Tahasil data, and surrounding locality insights.

Why Build for Understanding Land?

I grew up in Odisha. Land always held a special place for our people here. In good times, we worship it as mother (several Odia festivals – Raja, Akhaya Tritiya etc). In difficult times, it has saved families – be it funding daughter’s marriage or son’s education or a medical emergency.

I have also seen the darker side of land ownership – how it has broken families generation after generation on land disputes. There is an Odia proverb:

“ଯେତେ ଭାଇ ସେତେ ଘର”
which means brothers invariably split into separate homes.

A big part of that, in my experience, had to do with getting separate ownership of their share of inherited land. Land takes center stage in our lives. In good times, in bad times, in our progress and in our broken families too.

The Reality of Land Ownership Today

Yet owning land today feels unnecessarily difficult.

  • Land documents are hard to read, and even harder to understand.
  • Most of us don’t even know what papers truly prove ownership.
  • A single legal dispute can lock land up for a generation.
  • Every land document looks bad until it’s proven good.
  • If you are living away from your land, the worry only grows.

The biggest of all, it emotionally hurts to think that our next generation may drift away from land – not by choice, but because it feels too hard to manage.

But I believe land ownership shouldn’t feel this hard. Someone has to try to make it easier. That is why I started TLB – to build an easier and safer way to own land in India. It’s a problem I care deeply about, and we are committed to solving it with care and responsibility.

We are starting with my home state Odisha. If we get it right, we will take it across India.

Land ownership is messy in India. It’s a hard challenge — but one worth solving. I welcome your suggestions, collaboration and feedback as we build it out.

May our land reassure us, forever.

With Love,
